## Questions.

### What is a floor plan MCP server?

A server that gives an AI assistant real tools for floor plans, through the Model Context Protocol. The assistant changes a plan in your account, not a picture of one.

### Which clients work with it?

Clients that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. We test ChatGPT and Claude Code ourselves. Cursor and VS Code have the same kind of setup.

### Does it need an API key?

No. You sign in with OAuth, and the client gets a token for your own plans. You can disconnect it on your account page.

### Can an assistant damage my plans?

Each edit is one transaction, and a failed script changes nothing. The assistant can undo its own last change. Deleting a plan needs a plan that you named.

### Is it free?

Simple House Planner is free to use. The terms of your assistant's plan still apply.
